The Athletic Training Program (ATP) provides a quality education program that meets or exceeds the standards and guidelines delineated by the Commission on Athletic Training Education (CAATE). This philosophy balances the content knowledge with prescribed psychomotor and cognitive skills. In addition, we want to develop competent athletic trainers who can effectively provide quality health care to physically active individuals, and in doing so, 改善这些人的生活质量.
Inherent in these outcomes is an understanding of how individuals develop and learn; a congruency between theory and practice, the value of diversity in society, 以及在工作场所和社会中的专业和道德行为. To attain these outcomes, ATP应该为运动训练学生提供学习经验,以便:
- 为学生提供获得适当运动训练学位的机会.

- Provide students with the necessary background to successfully pass the 认证委员会(BOC)全国考试.
- Provide students with the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills needed for an entry-level position as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
- 提倡可接受的道德操守和专业标准
